Exporting LOR Content

If you have saved objects in the Learning Object Repository there is only one way to export them from D2L. If you have never uploaded objects to the LOR you do not need to use this document.

  1. Log into D2L
  2. Create a module in any one of your courses
  3. Import all of the Learning Objects by selecting Add Content/Add Learning Object
  4. Search for your LO’s (you may need to select the repository)
  5. Click in the checkbox next to the LO’s name
  6. Click on the Next buttonhey hey
  7. Select the third option Import as Content as an image

8. Follow the rest of the prompts to import the content
9. After importing all content Export the Module using the Export tool.

Export Tool

1. Click on the Edit Course link
2. Find Import/Export/Copy (click the link)
3. Select Export
4. Click on the Start button
5. Select Content and Select Individual Items as seen below:
6. Click on the Continue button
7. Click in the checkbox next to the module containing the learning objects as shown below:

8. Click on the Continue button
9. Ignore any options (leave the defaults don’t change anything)
10. Click on the Continue button to confirm your selection
11. Continue with the prompts
12. Wait for the link to the exported content zip file
13. Save the zip file to a storage device (hard drive, USB stick, etc..)
14. Clicking the Done button returns you to the first screen of the Import/Export/Copy
tool.
